Reliance Jio, led by Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, has once again performed beyond expectations with the launch of its 5.5G Network. Jio launched its 5G Network services on October 5, 2022. Eventually, the organization has enhanced the 5G network with a whopping downloading speed of up to 10 Gbps and an uploading speed of up to 1 Gbps.
Promising a new era in gaming, streaming, and communication with lightning-fast speed and ultra-low latency, Jio leaps ahead in time, bringing the future of connectivity.
On the other hand, Reliance Jio has set a benchmark in the industry of mobile networks by setting up their services of 4G and 5G Networks at the highest battlefield “Siachen Glacier” on January 15, 2025.
More Information about Jio 5.5G Network
While users nationwide showcased eager anticipation, Jio unveiled groundbreaking results of speed exceeding 1,014 Mbps. Also known as 5G Advance, the 5.5G Network offers users a wide range of features like 4K streaming, low latency, and fast downloads.
Moreover, the 5.5G network implements 3CC or Carrier Aggregation Technology to connect a device to multiple towers, improving connection and stable performance.
Further, Jio’s new 5.5G Network is based on 3GPP Release 18 Standard, which improves and enhances previous features by introducing new ones.
As the officials demonstrated, the One Plus series 13 and 13R are the initial devices to support the 5G Advance network. The network will appear with a 5GA icon on compatible devices, and no manual configuration is needed to connect with this enhanced network service.
Can 5.5G Network Really Change the Connectivity in India?
Many users in India are still facing problems while savoring the 5G network services due to poor connections in most parts of the country. This can lead to a grave situation for Jio itself as their 5G services are not highlighted as promised two years ago.
Meanwhile, Jio has announced an advancement to 5G services with technical improvements. Though it’s a great and revolutionary step to change the mobile network industry, most users still doubt that the 5.5G Network will increase speed.
